Been to work on it twice this week and I will be hard pushed to get rid of it tbh. I was initially going to get rid of it ASAP as I want something else but the thing flies up to around 100mph and the basic suspension seems to work for the terrible UK roads. You can get knee down or just pootle about and barely change gear. It's not scary fast but goes fast enough. The only thing which really lets it down are the brakes. I think I need a master cylinder rebuild for a start. The guy with the tatty race bike I was talking to had a brembo one of another bike on his which may be the way to go if things don't improve.
I just wish there was a way to tart it up without getting some major work done to get a GSXR type fairing on it as those race fairings are a bit cheap and nasty in real life.
If I had the money (I do have the money but I'm from Yorkshire) I'd maybe think about that new GSX8 thing. I think 82hp is probably around the right mark for maximal road use.

Just ridden the GSX8 as Im now a Suzuki dealer...Quite impressed with it, especially for such a budget bike

I was wondering about that. 82hp is maybe the sweetspot for really ragging it and not leaving much on the table on UK roads.
The only thing I'd really do with my SV is perhaps the GSXR fork swap as my GSXR does soak the bumps a bit better. That and brakes. If I stick some 750 forks on the 600 then I'd have a spare pair to swap over.
