Get the GSXR out, time for fresh MOT. Get to MOT station, feels good, new decibel killer working well, feels ok no problems.
Passes MOT and then just after it passes, it decides to die whilst it was running and I'm talking to the MOT bloke. Put jump pack on it and it's not putting anything back into the battery. Ok. Luckily, not too far from MOT place and my mate came along so I jump on his bike, whip the battery from the SV and take it MOT station. Stick battery in and still no charging going on but it'll last till I get back.
Open it up on the way back and it fucking flies. Then I notice it's also got considerably louder....hmmm...Then I notice it's making a horrendous noise like chain slap. Then the front end drops like a dragster and when I brake it feels like my calipers are about to fall off.
Get it home and notice the decibel killer has gone. My mate said it flew out at high speed. It appears to have smashed my undertray hence the chain slap noise. The brakes are where they should be the forks are making a clunk on the right side when you compress them. Fucks knows, possible that the bolt that goes into the bottom of the leg to retain the internals has gone loose? Fuck knows.
So anyway, the forks need to come off again, the bike doesn't charge and even the chain seems to gone slacker even though it's impossible in 10 miles?
Not sure what the fuck is going on but this literally mirrors the sort of shit that is going on with my parents at the moment.

I shouldn't be working on bikes at the moment. My head is mong with life.
First problem I solved was the knocking moving the bike in the garage. It was pads ....the retaining bolt had fallen out somehow. So loose pads.
2nd problem, took fairing panel off fucking stator lead plug wasn't plugged in. I remember I'd unplugged it when I was fucking with some cables to try and reroute stuff and obviously never put it back.
Undertray is still cracked but I've use the plastic welder on the underside of it.
This leaves the forks which I'm not sure about. I need to drop the front wheel out when my headstock paddock stand arrives (can't be arsed hanging from joists with top fairing on, it will fuck it) and make sure they aren't leaking out of legs at the bottom.

It lives. New pads in after the retaining pin falling out meant chewed up pads. All bolts retightened and theeadlocked. Alternator connected... Seems faster with new filter and plugs. Gapped a gsr750 quite easily on the straight.

Fuck. Me.
It decided to stay on its stand for 5 minutes then mysteriously fall over according the neighbours who were working in the garden. Fairing fucked and scraped. Mirror smashed off. Tail unit scraped, bar ends and brakes fucked. Stator case all scraped again.
I give up. Laptop screen got smashed last week as well.

I've ordered another dB killer as it's now obnoxious again. This time I'll make sure it's not going to fly out the back.
Also decided to buy a new fairing as prices have dropped and I've found someone selling for £300. At least then I'll have spare for the right side! At least I put micro indicator on so they didn't smash.
Bike does seem a bit cursed but it's great to ride and the fresh oil and new bushings seem to have rejuvenated the forks. I still think it could maybe do with the gearing lowering.
