I'd put him at Bruno level with a better gas tank (and probably better PEDs). I can't imagine prime Lewis being troubled by him much and Riddick Bowe would have taken him apart as well.
That was a pretty poor show last night, not sure if thought the other bloke would just walk onto a KO punch or something but he didn't seem very sharp overall.
Is it just that HW boxing is just a shit-show these days? I know there's always the rose-tinted-spectacles accusation but I think it's really true that some things were better previously. Current Motogp is wiping the floor with the Doohan/early Rossi era though current WSB is dog shit compared to the 90s.

Aye, I was underwhelmed by Joshua too, he reminded me very much of Bruno, quite stiff and robotic looking, can you be too muscular ?, the other bloke wasn't as honed up and was more fluid and loose.
Its a poor current crop if Joshua is the top dog.

He's several levels above bruno, he has footwork for starters.

Wilder looks handy but I don't know the level of opponent he's fought...he's got one belt so a unification is on the cards for 2018...maybe. But hey, its boxing so you never know!!!.
Takam did well considering he was a stand-in at very short notice. tbh I'd have expected Joshua to have taken care of him easier than he did...I'd agree with Mekon, Lewis in his prime would have taken out Joshua.

Joshua is a big and very fit bloke who can do all the boxing basics well. He always looks like a paint by numbers boxer to me though. Very robotic. Tyson Fury in shape would outbox him with ease. It would be a total schooling of the Calzaghe vs Lacy type. But I'd be amazed if Tyson Fury will ever be the fighter he was. He may come back but he has wrecked his body in the last two years with food, drink and drugs. If he does come back it will be a cash grab. I hope he stays retired. Of the other contenders, Wilder is a massive puncher and a fit bloke who is still learning how to box. He has been boxing for years so he must be a slow learner though. He has zero footwork, no defence and my money would be on Joshua to KO him inside five rounds. The other belt holder is Joseph Parker. Nice bloke but he isn't going to beat Joshua. Too small and not enough power. Decent boxer though when he stays disciplined in the ring. I think we will see Joshua vs Parker next and then Joshua vs Wilder. Wilder will be made to come over here and have a fight with Dillian Whyte first to build up his name in the UK. I'd slightly favour Wilder in that fight but Whyte might win and force a rematch with Joshua. The guy to beat Joshua has only had five fights so far. His time will come in 2020.

I think so. Time will tell though and I need to see how he copes with the step up in quality opponents first but all the right attributes are there so far.

There is a Cruiserweight world champion called Oleksandr Usyk. He is tied into the WBSS until next year but when he wins that I think he will move up to Heavyweight. He is only 6ft 3" and would likely fight at 210 to 215 pounds whilst Joshua is around 250 pounds at weigh-in and is 6ft 6". But Usyk has amazing boxing skills and movement for a big guy. I could see him beating any of the heavyweight champions if he does move up. But it will be via a boxing masterclass which isn't always good to watch for the casual fans.

Joshua has really good footwork, for the first 5 rounds the ease that he could get in and out of range was really impressive. I would agree that an in form Fury would catch up with him in the later rounds with his superior hand speed.

Saw some Tyson Fury stuff on social media this week. He seemed in good spirits and looked well.
I'd like to see TF v AJ. I just want to see more TF press conferences really.
