So....
Sadly I think we are in for an anti-climactic opener than involves Bautista doing a runner. The rest may be interesting. I expect the Brits to be moaning in general.

It does look like it could be a Ducati lock out with Bautista at the top. But the fight for second placed manufacturer looks interesting. Can Gerloff really beat Rea and Toprak? I don't think so, but that might be where the watching interest is.

Arse. Forgot this was on.
What's all this with Honda in WSS. Stupid wankers
Honda at risk of losing WorldSSP points after failing to present engine in time
MIE MS Racing Honda WorldSSP Due to logistical and customs issues, Honda could be at risk of losing any WorldSSP points scored at both Phillip Island and Mandalika after failing to present its engine and other parts before the deadline.
Honda, who returned to the WorldSSP class in 2023 with former BSB champion Tarran Mackenzie and Adam Norridin, were unable to provide their engine in time for Phase 1 of the FIM Homologation process.
Due to it being a logistical and customs issue that forced Honda to miss the deadline, a waiver has been offered to the Japanese brand should all other manufacturers agree.

Ha Scott Redding will be in top sulking mode. No doubt he'll spend the season slagging off BMW and end up on an Oxford Products BSB bike.

I went from liking Redding to not liking Redding to liking Redding and am now back to not liking Redding. He'd seemed to return to WSB as likeable but is now turning into his Motogp version again. Saying the bike is shit doesn't work when someone else is faster on it.
For the record I also don't like Tom Sykes. Yes he's from Yorkshire but I'd imagine he's ferret down trousers type of Yorkshireman whilst I'm born and bred in Harrogate don't you know.

Well the forecast of possibility of showers came true, pissed it down. It was good for McPhee and MacKenzie, gave them a chance. I wasnt expecting McPhee to lead. 2nd was a good result. I hope MacKenzie keeps his points with the homologation issue, his bike is so slow he will struggle in the dry.
The rain stopped Bautista and Rinaldi running away with it. Still a win for Bautista but he had to work for it. Shame about Rea's quick shifter issue. Rinaldi? Crap in the wet? Redding did better than expected as well.
We dont want a full wet season, but it might help the Brits a bit.

Only watched WSB, yeah Bautista won fairly comfortably which isn’t a good omen for the rest of the top guys in the dry on Sunday.

Well the WSS was way more interesting than the WSB event. Bit of state of affairs the WSS Honda is 20kph down. Good job it rained. Good job by McPhee and MacKenzie.
WSB didn't really tell us that much I guess other Bautista is still gelling with his Ducati come rain or shine. Ok Rea had a problem. I was more disappointed it spread out so much given rain is 'the great leveller'. Sort of expected some closer running.

Well I'm pleased they have made the Ducati easier to ride over the winter, they were really struggling As predicted, Bautista and Rinaldi cleared off in the dry. In the main race, Locatelli escaped the early clashes so got a deserved 3rd. A real scrap for 4th. Annoyed Lowes crashed and Toprak had no where to go. Aegeter got pushy again and slowed Rea down as well. Is this the championship over, or will they be able to reel Bautista back in? It does look close for 3rd, if Rinaldi can follow Bautista for 2nd. Not looking good for a close title fight is it.

Lowes gonna low...side. He's lucky to have that ride, I'd have cut him loose last season. At least he took Toprak out I guess. Well maybe Toprak should have put himself somewhere else on track but whatever.
Still a bit disappointed it isn't generally closer. Even if Bautista didn't win Rinaldi cleared off as well. Epic race for 4th I guess. BMW looks shite. Expected more out of Honda give the fireblade is now in it's 4th? year.

Well, given that it was, as expected a Ducati dominance at the top, at least kudos to the TV producer for staying with the battle for 4th in race 2. That was, also as expected, great. Rea really looked to struggle to match private Ducati pace, Toprak didn't look like he was having it much easier either. Spanish commentators were saying that at Mandalika we can expect a repeat of PI, but things might change once they get to Europe. ?
Lecuona getting the better of Rea gave a ray of light to HRC maybe? But I've got to wonder why HRC insist on entering so many world competitions when they've clearly lost the plot No rays of light for BMW though. Gerloff flattered to deceive in testing, but he still leaves PI ahead of Redding in points.
Bravo McPhee, he needs to take advantage of these opportunities to try to get seen as a rider worth giving better machinery to.
