Well I got round to unpacking the fairing and it was looking good until I found this bit.....
__
What do you reckon? Araldite with something as a backing plate? Something fairly thin and flexible like a cut out bit of yoghurt pot or something? I've emailed the cunts but even if they send a new panel that's 6 weeks.
Plastic welder from amazon for £20?
Really annoying as it's a pretty good fairing otherwise, the paintwork is actually pretty decent and the bike will look pretty good.

What a shitter. Not the first time I've heard of Chinese fairings arriving broken either...
I'd stick it with a good quality superglue, one of those new ones which allow the cured glue to flex, (not a 99p for 3 tubes from Poundland version) then plastic weld a scrap bit of plastic over the back of the repair. That or a bit of fibre / epoxy. Problem is that top front lug takes a bit of strain. You'll have to make sure that when you fit that panel you align it and tighten the bolts in the other 2 lugs first, then put that front one in last to reduce the stress on the repair.

Well I've ordered one of those plastic welding guns they look like something I should own anyway. I'll do some practice on an old bit of fairing I have and decide whether it will work or not given the crack I have.

Was this from Aliexpress? Fairingmaster?
I need to get some bodywork for the Fireblade. Might as well buy a full kit.

eBay, but they are probably all the same shit. The only advice I can give is make sure it's injection moulded so all the tabs and mounting points are properly extruded, not just stuck on after the fact.
The actual paing work on it is great. It looks factory. Don't know how durable it is as hopefully I won't scratch it. It's certainly not as thick feeling as the original though. Save some vital grams.
I bargained the cunt down to £330 shipped and that was all the plastic, not just the front fairing. The risk like I've found is some plane cunt throws it about and buggers it.

Only thing you'll have to watch is getting the 20% vat and some customs charges. eBay is all inclusive now so that's the price you pay.
Even AliExpress sticks 20% on now.

Think it's going to be lashings of Gorilla Glue. I got the plastic welder but the tab is raised off the fairing so I can't melt the staple in across a level surface. Oh well. I'm sure I'll sure it'll use it at some point for something.
