I just bought a used one from CEX. Other than getting some kneedown and larking about footage I'm not sure what I will do with it. It's above 250g so I'm supposed to be registered blah blah but I can't be arsed as I don't plan to fly it over an airport or annoy people with like some youtubers.
I've got some photo ideas that wouldn't be possible with a normal camera but it will probably be a 5 minute wonder and sit on my large shelf of electronic toys.

My lad had a couple of cheap toy ones but that's it.
An old chum is in media and uses them a lot.
Bloody amazing things.

Well that didn't go well. Took it a disused quarry and it was going ok until it just went mental, fucked off at high speed and crashed into the local woodland out of my sight.
Luckily it was still on and I could put the app on and track its GPS signal and found it in a bramble bush. Cunting thing.
Didn't take it up as high and it then behaved itself. Not sure if I'll be keeping this as it seems a bit susceptible to gusts of wind and literally can't move forward if the wind if strong enough. I can see the amusement or photography factor if you've got a pro level on with collision avoidance and proper wind resistance.
