Yeah, the first corner is one which I felt I could always have done faster, but its the same problem as in so many others, you can't see the entry so you over brake, then when it comes into view you realise you've scrubbed off too much speed... towards the end of the day I was getting better, but I had so much room for improvement even after hours of riding.

If I get to go back for another go I've got loads of ideas of what I'd do differently, but that's easily said from the sofa...

1600km round trip from Madrid though, with a trailer that's a bit of a PITA. Lucky the surrounding area makes it worth staying for a week!

Yeah at Cadwell as soon as I left I wanted to go back as looking at the pics I had loads in reserve. I'd made big gains into Mansfield once I'd stopped bottling it and literally braking all the way in. Off the brakes, off the brakes. It finally went in and then that carried over into other corners I started carrying more speed into.

I told my racer mate about the day and said I needed to get a 1000cc to stop people getting past on straights and he said I didn't need any such thing and needed to brake later and corner faster and he whups 1000cc bikes on his 50hp classic. I guess the reality is I do need to do that but people on 1000s that can't ride are fucking annoying.
