Bautista's title to lose, I;d like to see it go to PI but I think he might do it here.

I'd prefer Bautista wrapped up the inevitable this weekend and then we get a non tactical balls out end of season finale at PI

Unless Bautista crashes out in race 1 and injures himself I must have almost both hands on it after race? I think Toprak needs to pull more than 20 points on him this week to remotely have a chance.
Getting to that point in the year now where I go do with a break from motorsport and spend my weekends actually doing stuff like replacing the SV swingarm bearings and servicing my Gixxer forks.

16 GP wins (8 125's, 8 250)
1 GP WC (125). Came close to 250 WC also.
22 WSB race wins
I'll be really happy to see Bautista win it. Fully desreved after the career he's had.

He's faster than Toprak so far. Don't think the racing will be that interesting if the gaps continue like that tomorrow. Nobody seems near anyone at the front. I think if Bautista wins race one he's pretty much done it.

Weather forecast is shower in the afternoons. www.myweather2.com/City-Town/Indonesia/Lombok.aspx

Whatever happens in the last 2 rounds - this year has been exceptional. 3 guys at the very top of their game, I doubt any motogp rider would be able to squeeze any more out of the Duc/Yam/Kwak.

Agreed. In a normal year you would normally expect a win or two from teammates of the top guys or the occasional freak result but this is not a normal year and i think we've witnessed a historic season.

Its gone abit akin to the 'Aliens' era in MotoGP - a group that are just head and shoulders above the rest. Its nothing to do with machinery - just pure talent. Except its 3 riders not 4.

Bautista clinched it which was sort of inevitable, even with Toprak winning 3 races. He was pretty much faultless all season. Sounds like the rider + bike weight restrictions are coming in for 2024, maybe 2023 if everyone agrees. In WSS the rider weight fully kitted is 78kg added onto the minimum bike weight limit (except for the 999cc Ducati which limit which is higher). So if its the same for WSB, that will mean Bautista would carry an extra 12kg of dead weight. www.bikesportnews.com/news/news-detail/worldsbk-weight-limits-being-discussed-by-riders-and-rule-makersNot surprisingly Bautista does like the idea, but if he said this he must be nuts "He continued on the idea of a combined bike and rider limit, “I think there is no sense to put weight on this kind of bikes because what I said yesterday, in case of crash, if you for example put 20 kilos to my bike, you need more time to stop the bike. So, you have to change many places (run-off, etc) in many tracks for safety"
Well he wont be going so fast and the other riders have that combined weight.

A much more stable version of Bautista compared with the 2019 version made that championship possible.
I really hope he wins it again next year if the combined weight rule kicks in because otherwise his title will be remebered as the year he won it because the rules were unfair.
But even if he does win it, there will always be the riders who will argue that its still not fair because the ballast the light riders add is in a different place, affects the CoG less, and blah blah blah....
Toprak gobbing off about the Prosecco was bit rich in my book. Yes, OK he's a Muslim, and Indonesia has a majority of Muslim inhabitants, but then why was there Prosecco on the podium? Seems like Alvaro was just the Turks head... no wait... you know what I mean.

It seems as long as you're buying it from licenced outlets and not drinking it in the street, then consuming alcohol isn't a problem.

But that was my point Neil.
If Prosecco and the Indonesian organisers and authorities provided / permitted the fizz for the podium I think its unfair to make Bautista the guilty party.

TBH, as soon as the race finished, I stopped watching it and deleted the recording! I'll retrieve it and watch the podium celebration.

Well he wont be going so fast and the other riders have that combined weight. Well congrats to Bautista for winning it but he's talking absolute rubbish there. Changing runoff's? What planet is he on with that arguement. When the ballast idea was banded around MotoGP a few years back it was the general agreed consensus that its unfair to the rider as a fixed balast amount would be a penatly weight compared to a rider that carries it on their body and can therefore shift it in certain areas to gain an advantage. I dont know if fuel saving modes kick in to hinder WSB bikes like they do when MotoGP burn too much - but that is something that could be granted as there is zero doubt that lugging around an extra 20kgs will use more fuel. Give Redding an extra litre of gas vs the lightwights like Alvaro but the there should be no min weight limit.
