Looks like a 'ducati circuit' to me.
No doubt this will be another Turkey. Seeing as the superbikes were back at Spa this year I can't see why Motogp can't go there. Who the fuck is going to go out to kazakhstan to watch Motogp? More Qatar nonsense. Motogp is getting more F1 by the day.

4 hair pins an 3 long straights! Where is this? Kazakhstan... they do have a long history of closed circuit road racing

That looks like I designed that with a crayon after 10 pints Surely it would end up a bit more "wiggly" after 10 pints?

The circuit looks a bit poor in terms of racing and I can't disagree that the country seems to be an odd choice if purely economic factors are removed, but, fans are always criticising that there are 3 or 4 races on the Iberian peninsula, wetsern countries struggle like fuck to get new circuits up and running (Finland, Wales...) so what are Dorna supposed to do?
I see that Switzerland has finally lifted its ban on motorsport, I wonder if they'll be churning out new tracks to take advantage?
Nah, I think not. Maybe we have to acknowledge that there are only certain types of country where motorsport is viable these days.

You need some heart and soul. Kazakhstan is the 9th largest country in the world by area. Its a lot further down the list for human rights and corruption (in order best to worst). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_and_dependencies_by_areaThey do have a motorcycle industry, assembling Ural bikes, going way back to..........., earlier this year after Russia invaded Ukraine. www.revzilla.com/common-tread/ural-begins-assembling-motorcycles-in-kazakhstanOne of the few currencies which the £ is doing ok at, www.google.com/finance/quote/GBP-KZT?window=MAX3 nights hotel in Almaty £100, but no doubt that will rocket when MotoGP hits town. 40 miles from the track. Its all down to them paying Dorna, to try to expand their tourist industry or whatever. I remember the Professional Windsurf Tour going to Turkmenistan, when the local council/government stumped up the cash. A similar country to Kazakhstan in many ways, and it was shit. A lot of complaints from windsurfers. Nobody will ever go on holiday there to windsurf. They didnt go back.

Sadly, a good record of human rights goes hand in hand with motorsport being perceived associally unacceptable, burning pertol for fun is only a step away from hunting for sport in the minds of many. I don't want MotoGP to go to Saudi, but as stated previously, expecting it to be run in Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark and Norway because of their good human rights record isn't realistic. As European countries drop off the calendar, they'll never get back on. You don't see any news about the Czech Republic coming back on board.

I thought Most was going to be a 'cheap' WSB round and it was more fucking expensive than Donington!
Silverstone may also have to rethink things after this years Motogp. Then again they've just fucking fleeced the fuck out of F1 fans so maybe they don't care.

For a WSB event, £60 advance price for the weekend at Donington was good value. Especially with the continental weather they provided. I think they kept it low as attendance in previous years had been shite, 8,000 wasnt it. Bumper 51831 crowd this year.
Most is the only central European round, so probably attracts fans from Germany. 2990 CZK for an advance weekend ticket. Same story for most foreign rounds, our fucked exchange rate makes things expensive. When I've been to CZ, the exchange rate was 2003 - 48CZK, 2010 & 2012 - 31 CZK. In 2015 had been recovering post 2008 crash to 38CZK, then boom, Brexit. July this year it was 28CZK, so that would make a ticket £106. I do recall 2003 it being very cheap there, eating out in central Prague was fine, for a capital city. And 2010/12 it didnt strike me as expensive either.
Looking at € to CZK history, the CZK has been stronger than the € since 2003, CZ must have a decent economy.

MotoGP final round tickets are €87 for a weekend ticket at Valencia, at a mid price grandstand* along the back straight, pick your seat. Direct from the circuit, not using an agent.
Whats the guess for Kazakhstan?
* edit - €60 - 190 is the price range.
