Moto GP seemed more like a lottery than anything else.
Quartararo, oh dear, poor finish for a title challenger. Lucky his rivals got big fat 0s (and he didn't get wiped out by one of them) Bagnaia, oh dear, to finish first, first you have to finish. Lucky his rivals weren't at the sharp end so he didn't lose out on too many points. Aleix, oh dear, there goes another opportunity to close in on your rivals. Lucky one of them fell and the other had a poor result, damage limitation at least.
Good result from Dixon in Moto2, good to see him stay on it! Canet is even unluckier than Aleix. Vieti though? WTF?
Shame about Ogden in Moto3, but I suppose it was expected, although I didn't expect to see him so far back. Good ride from McPhee, maybe enough to get the attention of some Moto 2 team? Gutsy ride from Oncu by all accounts, I think he's the only rider in all categories to have scored points in every race this season now that Aleix has had a 0.

Not sure where this round puts FQ in his headspace? He's still leading so you don't want win or bin but clearly just riding and playing safe isn't an option with so many other Ducatis about.
Also not sure if MM will start to flag after a few back to back rounds.

A world championship is a world championship. Next Yamaha is where exactly?
Last time they were here, race time was 42'41.4 - MM. FQ was 42'42.3 MM had fastest lap 1'45.7 This year ........................................... 42'29.1 - JM FQ was 42'39.3 JM had fastest lap 1'45.1 FQ had 1'45.9
I think Ducati have improved the most between Ducati & Yamaha.
FQ has had a 7th and 3 8th places so far, not great, but he is ahead of everyone else. He was in front of Bagnaia when he fell.
Its pointless saying FQ is weak against MM because it was MM's pushing it to the limit and crashing methodology which was his downfall.

OK, I'm possibly gonna get hung. drawn and quartered for this but:
Why are people making excuses for Marc?
"He's on a shit bike" OK, so it's not the best RCV HRC have produced, but it was good enough for 4th / 5th places when his arm was set wrong and he was riding in constatnt pain. "He's recovering from his injury / surgery", yeah but how many races do you need to be considered fully fit? Rossi came back after his leg break and finished 4th, 3rd, 5th, 4th, 3rd....

Rossi came back when he was on the best bike and everyone rode like Mike Hailwood. He also came back when the differences between factory and satellite were bigger and Suzuki couldn't give a shit about their bike anymore.

Agreed. Plus Rossi was out for just the 4 following races. 6th June bust leg, 18th July was his return. Marquez last race before his recent surgery was 29th May, comeback race 25th September. That surgery was on top of a load more time out and missed training & track time. Motegi is a stop/start circuit, so that would be harder than most on the arms I would have thought. I was surprised his pace stayed so high. His cardio should be fine as he could still run/cycle, but arm strength must have taken a hit. Thailand next, not so stop start but very humid, but that shouldnt affect him so much given his Motegi result. He will be back in my MotoGP FRR team, probably drop Enea 'you must not overtake Bagniai' Bastianini.
