Don't think the riders are that into it.

Worst idea ever, ask the public...
The public are generally clueless about everything. Point proved in this case.

I'm not too against it as about 2/3 of the races have been pretty boring this season. Gavin Emmett suggested perhaps the races didn't carry any points. WTF would be the point of that and who would do it? Go out and risk your arse for zero championship points.

It works for BSB, a race on Saturday. It works for WSB, race on Saturday + a sprint & normal length race on Sunday.
I think its great for MotoGP. If you are at the track, you get to see more racing. FP4 in MotoGP must be as dull as dishwater to watch at the track, it counts for nothing.
For Silverstone BSB, I decided to go along to Saturday's Q & racing. I havent got the bike on the road so took the van and didnt fancy queuing to get in and out on a Sunday. I wouldnt have done that if it was just Q.
I used to go to Assen, Nurbugring & Magny Cours WSB quite often, before the new race format. If there had been a race on Saturday, I would probably have gone for the extra day.
VFM for the spectator. And people are knocking it?

Is it for all classes?
I'm undecided. I like the whole 'race day' build up. I also like the extra SB races.
More income, is that the real driver behind the spin?
I guess the riders' views are important - they run the risks.
Not great for teams on a tight budget. It might ultimately result in closer races?

Jack Miller is for it as he loves actually racing more. This is the problem with riders. It's an odd thing that some riders are just doing a job and don't even like racing as such.

I like it. But I don't like the idea behind it. To chase a new, younger audience.

Hmm, no Moto2 warmup would have just stopped Jake Dixon from a massive crash I doubt he will be using that bike in the race.

A 2nd MotoGP race as opposed to dull FP4, good idea.

I agree about fp4. It's a nothing session now. The pre-qualification for qualifying has taken care of that.
