Neil Hodgson was recently on about certain members of the press that didn't even ride having strong opinions and it seemed to annoy him. Pretty sure I know who he was on about as I tweeted 'do you even ride bro?' and was immediately blocked. Sensitive subject obviously.
I can see where he's coming from. I feel off at 10mph and feel like I've been hit with bat all down my side and you've got fat puffs who ride a paddock scooter at best, judging riders who've eaten shit at 120+.

Keith calls out fat journos over Marquez clash....
“When you’ve got a non-racing tubby journo behind his keyboard trying to emulate a 5 times, 6 times 7 times or in this case 8 times world champion, it just gets right up my nose!

Hes talking out of his arse, again...You dont need any qualifications to talk about anything. It just depends on whather anyone is going to listen or not. I switched off BT Sport after the 2015 Malaysia race when both Hodgson and Laverty said Marques shouldnt have been involved in a race with any of the front runners to the title...They're morons.
Bumble, one of the greatest cricket journo's/pundits has barely any first class cricket to his name, for example

Hodgson on the other hand, I prefer to leave him…46 fanboy.

The problem is if you've got commentators or journos that don't ride they tend to spout bollocks or can't spot the obvious bike body language going on during races. They can't spot chatter or tyre wear and tend to get hung up on bullshit like the Greg whateverhisnameis on Eurosport. It's like Johnny Rea best at corners, Toprak best at braking and Bautista just unleashes down the straight. He can't see anything other than that generally. I hated Toseland at first as he delivered like an android but he's utterly aware of what's going on.
Even 'the greats' suffer from putting out some utter shit sometimes though. I read Michael Scott's Rossi book and it was like 'my first Rossi book - ages 7-10'. I have always found his writing a bit overdramatic to be honest as if he's trying to elevate it to Shakespeare or emulate the prose laden delivery of Dr Costa analogies comparing riders to angels or whatever.

I thought Crafar was crap but I like him now, he wasn’t crap he was just starting out with little or no experience….knows his stuff. I also liked Moody/Ryder, and as far as I know neither of them raced bikes, so it’s not a requirement….but they know their stuff and are genuinely passionate about the sport.
