Because my lads and his mates are still into gaming I'm sort of still in the gaming loop but yesterday I realised I'm not really a gamer anymore. Went into GAME to buy Lego Starwars' latest for my lad's birthday and the guy behind the counter started ranting on about how good it was etc. and I cut him short by saying it wasn't for me and I didn't have time to game anymore. He said something like 'that's a pity' but I sort of felt sorry for him as he probably wasn't out banging hot women and the 'consume content and get excited for next content' lifestyle is all he knows.
I did drop loads in VR headsets, graphics cards and upgraded CPUs and motherboards this year but that's all for sim racing rather than gaming. Not really the same thing.
I've also got guitars on the wall I never play anymore. Used to stick in 2 hours a night without fail but that's gone by the wayside.
