I know we aren't there yet but I've just read Hickman is getting a wildcard. I can sort of understand MacKenzie having a crack but Hickman's not even really running up front in BSB at the moment.
I'm guessing this will also be a bit of yardstick moment for Redding as well. If he can't go well at Donington then I guess his year is doomed.

I can't recall Donington ever looking so parched.
A real booster weekend for Redding.

The Saturday was better than the Sunday's action but it was ok over all. BMW have made some progress but I guess tyre use still remains a problem. Even if they sorted than I'm not sure Redding has the ability to outbrake the front runners on it yet.
The Ducati in supersport seems to have same tyre wear problems and it's getting a bit bored watching Aegeter win ever race. The Kawasaki doesn't seem to be to hold pace all race either.

Some good racing there in WSB, I think Rea threw everything at Stoprak, especially in R2. Damage limitation by Bautista, but it makes things closer at the top now. Not sure if Redding's results mean a big step forward as the BMW goes well at Donington, time will tell.

Toprak has to be happy with that. Rea looked really troubled running at that pace.
I think the Redding BMW advance is real, in that he could be closer to the front for the rest of the year, but I'm not sure it means that he'll be a podium challenger. I reckon we´ll see him battling for 5th - 7th instead of 7th - 9th. Still, he looked a lot better on the bike this weekend.
I hope it serves to demonstrate that BMW really do need to listen to him and react.
