Just been reading that Volvo now limit cars to 180kph and Renault will be following. Initially I was disgusted but then I started thinking about the last time I maxed a car out and it was maybe when I had the TT and I still didn't actually top it out. I've driven that Mini like a twat sometimes but still not taken it over 100 much.
I'm guessing if I bought a Nissan GTR I'd be annoyed if it stopped at 180kph but I suppose it's something most people would never do anyway in normal cars?
I'd definitely give a fuck if bikes got limited as it's possible to pull those sort of speeds quite easily without a long straight.

I'd like to see SUVs fitted with this and other safety features, like a speed limited buffer so they can't get up normal people's arses, as in higher the speed, the bigger the gap.

I've had one of the new Hilux's out on hire for work. The cruise control has a setting that automatically reduces the speed if you get too close to the car in front. I hated it at first because I didn't know what was happening and totally freaked out at brakes being applied. However, once I figured it out I saw the value in it. Just set your top speed, point it in the right direction then go for a nap.

You don't have to live in Yorkshire to eat Yorkshire pudding.
Do you need a 'right to wank' licence then if you're not from Yorkshire?
