I used to have a HRM for my cycling but I lost it. I've changed my cycling style now my knees seem ok but before I was into high cadence stuff and would be pushing 190bpm. I always seemed to recover fairly quickly so I guess running hot like that wasn't a problem?
Be interesting to see what my rate goes up to on the motorbike.

Be interesting to see what my rate goes up to on the motorbike. I though that, but to be honest it doesn't rise that much. Last time I rode mine, 16th May at Jarama, my average rate was higher than a day in the office at 74bpm, but the max was only 144 in one track session, in other sessions it reached about 120 a few times. I went out once this week on the mountain bike (in the extreme heat) and in an hour's riding I averaged 144, and maxed out at 174.

Well I've now discovered my cycling home from work heart rate is the same as my pipe laying heart rate. Need to up my game on one of them. Technology - what would we do without it.

I don't know.
I always look at my analysis after each ride though. Since commuting started, my averages have really improved - losing a stone has helped obviously. Strangely, I hit 180 at the bottom of a long hill today. Silly thing.

Resting rate now down to 42 after a few weeks of wearing this thing. Fucking sleep is shit though.
