Even if that happens Rea will have a plan, he always has a plan. Even now he'll have worked out the Ducati's strengths and weaknesses and will be improving the Kawasaki in those areas hoping to goad Bautista into mistakes which always seem to mess with his head. Worked last time.

Will be interesting to see how Toprak goes this weekend.
It looked a bit like Yamaha may have dropped a bollock in SBK like they have in MotoGP last time out.
There will be some red faces in Iwata if they fail to defend both current titles.
Gerlof was tipped to return to form too, which didn't really happen.
I'm hoping for some more Aegerter / Baldasari battles in SS.

I still think this season is pretty much Topraks future. I know ever cunt I mentioned last week fell off at Texas but hunt for the next FQ or MM is relentless. No defence=no MotoGP.
If Baustista can transform into a long game man he could be a real title threat.

So Haslam is back then?
Normally when a rider leaves a team and people say that the substitute is riding "their bike" it is figuratively speaking, but in this case it seems like Haslam will actually be riding Cresson's bike.
If the declarations of Loris Cresson are correct, the bike being used by Pedercini actually was purchased by and belongs to a company owned by Cresson as part of his contract. His understanding is that Pedercicni Team should have returned the bike, plus 60k€ worth of spares to him when the contract was ended but Pedercicni cancelled the access passes and the Cresson company people can't get in to the paddock to get their kit back...
All sounds a bit "Barbera" to me, surely it won't end well. Wonder what Haslam thinks of it all? It'll probably all end in tears, or court....

New lap record for Toprak..P1. Then Lowes, Rea, Loc, Bau, Gerloff.
A battle between Top, Rea and Bau?…Lowes will probably go backwards then bin it.

Jesus H Christ. That was brilliant. These 3 are putting on a fucking amazing show Cracking stuff!….Bautista had a lot to do there. I though Topcat would be off once he gapped Rea around 2/3rds stage but Rea came right back. Superb!

When Lowes went out with a blown engine i immediately thought he'd taken a stone from Locatelli's off track excursion. He said it was bad luck but I'm sure that he got sucked into following him off track on to the dirt. Otherwise it wouldn't have hit his oil cooler.

Seems like Bautista is the definite danger man this year. Rea seems to have nullified some of the Toprak braking advantage. Damn good high pressure racing there though. Even Redding made something of the race.

Toprak smashed them in superpole, nearly 0.5s ahead. But in the races Rea and Bautista just have the advantage in a race scenario. Toprak's big advantage of braking seems diminished as Rea's has improved and he gets out of the corners better. Bautista's high speed cornering has seen him pass both of the others. Incredibly tight between the 3 in the SP race, 0.267s and 1s in R1. There doesnt seem any significant machine advantage, as the 2nd riders in the team are so far back. Locatelli seems next best at Assen, then a battle for 5th. Which we didnt see as you wouldnt want to take your eyes off the leaders (they did when Lowes pulled over and we missed the final change in lead ). Toprak needs a win soon, otherwise it looks like being Rea v Bautista year.
