I was off work with covid last month (again) and as I was housebound, I ended up buying a few RC car kits. Tamiya Hornet (first proper RC car I ever owned when I was a kid) which I have made pretty trick. A team Associated DR10 Drag car, a team Associated RB10 buggy and a BSD-Racing Prime Baja V3 buggy. Not used any of them yet due to lack of spare time. Hopefully get them all out soon. Anyone else on here got similar?

Those are just generic photos I got off a google search. I will post a few of mine when I take them out. There is a local club to me in Southend to race the RB10 but I'm probably more into making the drag car go stupid fast. These new Lipo batteries can achieve mental speeds.

Before covid I bought a 2nd hand Tamiya Mad Bull and half of something else but I can't remember what it was supposed to be. It is the old shitty servo type that uses the crystal things for the remote. very 1983.
Tbh it was a waste of time as for me the building and painting is the bit I enjoyed. As it was prebuilt I missed that bit and then all my lad did was drive it like a spaz and smash it into things.
I used to love going in Beatties and going through the Tamiya catalogues. If I was a millionaire dosser I can imagine making models and RC cars in my downtime. I used to love model making.

Purchased a few more cars since I last posted. A 1:8 scale Maverick Quantum R Flux, a UDI RC 1:16 scale Drift truck and a Tamiya Grasshopper 1:10 scale that has been modified to hit a potential 50MPH. Dropped a ton of cash upgrading the Maverick. It's fast as fuck out of the box but it needs a lot of work to get it to handle. I done a load of upgrades and mine is running around 65 - 70 MPH. But it's very unstable at those speeds. The little drift truck is awesome. Only £99 with everything needed to run. It is brushless and will hit around 25MPH. I'll attach a video of me and my nephew running them. I got him the brushed version that is even cheaper at £69. I'll be taking the Grasshopper out for it's top speed run tomorrow evening. It's going to be totally uncontrollable.

First shakedown run of Project Tamiya GrassHopper 50MPH. We had to cut proceedings short as Byron realised he had lost his phone on his way home previous to our filming. We spent the next two hours looking for it. Being a Tech savvy young man, he had installed an app that showed where his phone was on Google maps. A mile down the road some guy had picked it up off the floor and was surprised when we rocked up on his doorstep and asked for the phone back. We're back out on Friday at a new location.

Some people are thieving cunts. We found a Nintendo Switch on the floor one day and immediately put it Facebook that we'd found it and all the owner had to do was tell us the user name.
Oddly enough my boss messaged me quick sharp as someone she knew had lost it. Grandad had been out with the kids and put it on the bottom shelf of the pram. Kid got his switch back and grandad got told off.
