I'm past all this prototype shit I just want to close battles between the best riders. Advances in technology initially lead to a boring season when someone leaps ahead. It certainly does in the 4 wheeled sector. It's not like it's even man vs machine type shit like in the 70s/80s when power increased faster than the handling. Some fucker in a 1500hp Can Am car was hustling more than a modern F1 driver. Most motorsport is boring as fuck now and technology is what has done it. The balancing point has been past. Look at GT cars now. Fucking boring shit with ABS and TC. The racing is shit. WTCR - racing is shit. If touring cars are shit you know things are very wrong. Even all the Rallyx I've watched this year has been wank. It's just follow my leader stuff. I understand that position Mekon but the toothpaste is out of the tube now and I can't see how it could be got back in. For me MGP and WSB is probably as good as it could ever get now and improvements in power and electronics will provide diminishing returns as you just can't corner any faster now. Overtaking will get to be difficult at most tracks as there will be one very well defined racing line. I'd like to see a 500cc 2T racing class but that won't happen because of the Green blob unless they use it as a development class to improve 2T engines in general. With modern technology I'm sure that direct injection can be perfected and 500's be capable of matching the current MGP bikes.

I started watching the racing again when I got cable TV in 1992. Comparing race winners times from then to now makes me thing there was a different number or laps, Barcelona below there has been minor track changes as well. A huge difference in how far 15th was behind the winner to now. Today its a lot tighter. I'm not keen on development on race bikes which has zero affect for road bikes, on the go ride height adjusters, wings etc, but the racing is better.
