Today there is heavy rain moving in looking on the radar. |

Cold & light rain scuppered the fast laps. Brookes did well to recover from a crash early on to sneak 1 lap in at the end for 4th. Yams way down, 3.5s off the pace.

This showdown has been a disaster for 'The O show'. Maybe he's 'The 0 Show'? Bridewell also fell to pieces when he could have really capitalised on his last win,.
I reckon MacKenzie will take this and move to Yamaha seat if Gerloff or Toprak goes.

These stats are interesting but not really relevant unless you're trying to depress Jason O'Hallaron.
Apart from a brief covid induced year the showdown has been around since Camier blitzed every cunt way back and the organisers needed to act. You can't argue that it's not made the championship more interesting, four riders can still win it going into the final round.
We also have control tyres and no electronic aids which means a much more level playing field.
Only thing I'd change is the calendar could be squeezed more to avoid shitty weather like this weekend.

The rules have changed and they play to the rules, but JO'H has been way better than the others up to now.
MacKenzie sat out 2 races at Cadwell due to a bust finger. He lost 8 points to JO'H.
If they had the showdown races scoring double to tighten it all up at the end that would give value to the first 8 meetings, rather than 5, 3, 1 podium points.

That's fair comment Phil. I think the extra podium points would definitely make it a fairer showdown. I still think the UK is too unpredictable to be racing 200 + hp in the cold and wet. Donington was awful in the wet.

Maybe wet weather wins and poduims could be worth more points than dry weather ones.
Standard points for a dry podium, points + 50% for wet weather podiums, double points for wet weather podiums on slicks.
