Royal Enfield have dropped the bullet 350/500 and classic 500. The classic 500 was one of those bikes I still want as a 'third' or maybe fourth bike as I think they cool if you're not after speed.# Supposedly they couldn't hit emissions on the 500 lump but I'm not sure why the couldn't keep the rolling chassis and just re-engineer the lump to hit modern emissions. IT was only making 27hp from 500cc!! My KTM is 43hp from 373cc. This new 350 Meteor looks wank imo.

Looks like a combination of a modern retro Triumph and an older retro Triumph when Triumph re-appeared. Small cc retro bikes look a bit naff, but the cc license and tax brackets mean they dont want to make larger capacity bikes for their markets in Asia.

I can see how these things would sell in India and Asian markets but as the meteor looks more cruisery I can't see it selling as people prefer at least a v-twin for that sort of thing in Europe and America.
I guess where something like the Ninja 400 or RC390 is a top of the food chain bike these things have their place.
