I think we will see it at some point towards the end of the year. Unless it rains and he stays on.

i think he stands a decent chance at any round where the rest of the field have to set their bikes up with only 2019 data to go off. this weekend is one of those chances. if not, germany in a month. if not, aragon after the massive summer break.

Difficult to argue with that reasoning. But it does seem that the Honda this year is a bit of a pig, and that combined with his recovery might mean that his next win might have to wait until a better bike comes along. I hope there is a free development permission granted at the end of this season again. His input this year is probably more valuable to HRC from a feedback perspective than a points perspective.

I think it will come but the longer into the year we go, the more his body will improve as will his chances. I think it will be Aragon, he's just too good there.

Hmmm...Seems like he's not even that good here anymore. Starting to wonder if the old Marc is properly done. That crash he had, like Hodgson said, maybe he doesn't have the strength to pull of saves any more, no saves no real Marc.
If it carries on like this I'll give it one more year and then he'll retire as he's already said he's not going to race if he can't win.

When he crashed this morning it looked like he was going to pick the bike up himself like he usually does, but then didnt, looked like he changed his mind. Lack of strength, worried about doing himself more damage, it didnt look like the Marquez of old.

yeah, i've noticed he's changed his mind a few times about picking it up and he's talked openly about not having the strength to save crashes. i expect he just doesn't want to take unnecessary risks. if he was in the title race, i think it'd be different but there's no point going full retard this year. having said that, he's put a lot on the line at tracks he likes. germany, austria, aragon and you'd expect him to fly in america next week. i think marc wants to push but he's being advised to relax with a an eye on next year. he'll have a bike more suited to him after a programme of winter testing, he'll be stronger and starting the year on a level with everyone else.
