Apparently Alonso is a two-time world 'driving' champion.
Can't wait for the next round of 'driving' from Monaco.
Loads of little put downs as well, clearly they can't handle it that an F1 driver can just turn up be able to drive in a circle. The fact that a GP2 driver could just turn up and win as a rookie tells you all you need to know about the talent level of racing in the US. SHIT.

Maybe they meant "F1 Drivers Champion"? Did they mention F1 at all?
When he got the flick from Williams after winning the F1 Drivers Championship, didn't Mansell move to Indy Car the following year and walk it?

The telemetry proved it's a joke. Foot flat to the floor, no adjustment other than driving line. Ok, it's fast as fuck but it was literally 100% throttle the entire lap.

The non-oval stuff is pretty tedious.
You need balls to run the ovals though. I think Nige had his biggest career crash on one. I agree, keep it on line and you should be fine.

Mansell finished third in 1993, he had been leading but following a safety car incident misjudged the restart and ended up third but best rookie.
i went to the Indy 500 last year, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy the race but the friend that I went with assured me that it would be good. There is much more skill in it than I imagined, some great tactics and it certainly requires big balls. Whilst not rushing back again I certainly wouldn't be dismissive of the skills compared to F1. Overtaking at speeds in excess of 220mph isn't as easy as looks!

Its normally an eventful race though. I got the impression the commentators were rooting for Alonso. Shame he broke down.
