So what do you reckon? I'm going for more Brookes and Redding playing it safe just for a podium point or two. This is the round you really don't want to crash at before the showdown.
In some ways I wasn't rooting for Brookes but he seems to have done a Rea and now things have turned his way and he's clearly the 2nd best rider on the grid at the least. I wonder if Bird would prefer Brookes to win and keep the no.1 in the team for next year?
Brookes and Redding seemed pretty nailed in for the two contenders imo. Droog of course cursed MacKenzie with his pre season pick and now he's fighting to get into the showdown. That fight will perhaps be the most interesting of the weekend given it's quite open for the last couple of places.
Tbh, most disappointed in O'Halloran but I guess he was doomed from the start.

Nah, he's been pretty considered and calculating really. He's not really taken any risks, he's just been so much better on a few circuits that maybe it looks like he's riding mad but I don't think he's been riding like a loon.
I'd be more worried about those boys trying to get into the showdown knocking me off.

Andrew Irwin got back on his bike after crashing in R1, dropped oil which Peter Hickman and Dan Linfoot crashed on causing the red flag (I think, the press release didnt mention the riders, just 2 separate crashes). Hickman's crash looked a weird one, he lost it quite early in the corner.
So he has been excluded from R2 and received 3 more penalty points. His team are appealing the penalty, which I find astounding. Riders getting back on crashed bikes has ruined meetings in the past. It certainly ruined Hickmans race and he is just 1 point behind Irwin.

There is a video on the BSB FB page of a marshal shaking her head and telling him he cant restart.

Bridewell was looking good until his bike decided otherwise. Whit said yesterday his exhaust is stainless steel and weighs about 4kg more than a titanium one. That must make a difference to the handling with it being so high up.

Tommy Bridewell finally gets his first win, and the team's. Hopefully it wont be the last. Good we have the showdown format, as Redding and Brookes both on 316 points isnt close enough. 548 v 545 is much better

Good racing. Irwin was being a proper knobber as he still didn't seem to get it even after he'd been punished. Don't get back on the bike. End of. Seemed to be trying to blame the marshal for not stopping him a 4th time. Idiot. Not a Seeley fan but that looked painful, not often you see these boys looking so etched in pain. Hopefully Bridewell will cheer the fuck up now
