Hope Rea doesn't win. Read some piece where he reckons they are underdogs. Yeah, WSB Kwaks are literally bottom of the barrel stuff.

Rea almost a second under lap record, Tommy B running top 3 ahead of Nakagami until Lowes knocked him off, still finished session inside top 10. Oh yeah, I forgot he's crap...

I've been watching for the last two hours. Sadly lots of pace car action.

I find endurance racing lacks excitement. Not good telly, well not for me anyway.

Watched the coverage live and enjoyed it. Watched via the Eurosport player feed instead of Eurosport 2 so the action wasn't broken up with adverts. I did drift off for about an hour and missed Rea slipping off. Glad Yamaha won again and long my it continue. I feel Yamaha need to reward Lowes and VDM with even more support in WSB or give them two wildcard races each in MotoGP. Not sure if I dreamed this but did anyone else hear the commentary team chatting amongst themselves thinking the mics were off and they were at an ad break? When watching via the player feed the commentary just stops when at an ad break but coverage continues uninterrupted.

Watched some of it on Eurosport but as had been said, it lacks any real drama as playing the long game just isn't the same as a 30 minute race.
What pisses me off the most is that GP bikes don't race their anymore due to 'safety' or some Rossi-inspired gayness. Superbikes aren't really far off the cornering speeds of gp bikes if at all in places and it's shit we now have to suffer Montegi which is shit.
Oh well, at least Rea didn't win. Any reason why Ducati don't bother with it? (bikes would pop?)

Historically twins weren't that competitive in endurance racing, especially the Ducatis due to reliability. Apart from the Honda SP1/SP2, I can't think of a twin getting anywhere near a podium.
I caught about 10 mins of the "racing" when the safety car was out after the oil spillage at 130R.

Recorded all of it from Eurospurt watched chunks & fast-forwarded the boring bits. Thought some of the stuff I watched in detail was top entertainment. The fast guys cutting through bunches of backmarkers was laugh out loud crazy at times. JR's precision & brain speed was jaw dropping, 4-5 bike passes in a flick-flack chicane without losing speed.
Lowes & VDM deserved that win, 2-man team in those iffy conditions takes some level of concentration. Slightly off topic but those two could easily have descended into a JR/Sykes relationship. I hope Yamaha appreciate Dennings management skills because those two pushing so hard in the same direction is what's dragging Yamaha up to Kawasaki's level. My only criticism is that the coverage didn't cover some of the more outstanding rides further down the field, Bridewell, Ray, Guinters, Laverty and Iddon were doing BSB proud. And that 44 year old tab smoker Kagayama has no right to be so f**n fast.
