Rory Skinner needs to show something soon. Like top 15.

Rory Skinner needs to show something soon. Like top 15. Fuck me, what a "instant gratification" society we live in these days; each session he is making progress, knocking off chunks of time whilst learning to a ride a bike which is pretty alien to him on tracks, in a class that he has next to fuck all experience in and on a lot of tracks that he's never ridden on. If he's not regularly in the top 15 by end of season then maybe you might have point, but not after only 1/5th of a season FFS.

You had him down as an Uber talent Neil. Uber talent needs to perform. He's near the back of the field at the moment. Apparently he'd never even used his rear brake until now, which I find a bit odd at this level.
Instant gratification is where we are at with all this oversupply of good riders. You don't to develop a rider if another one looks better.

And I still do, but unless you've come up through the Spanish CEV and into GPs, you will always be on the back foot; which is where Brits will always be at a disadvantage.

I agree with Neil. He's not under any pressure to deilver results - yet. He's on a 2 year contract. Moto2 is fiercely competitive.
Trying to find some kind of benchmark - Cam Beaubier came into the same American Racing team as 5 time Ama champ and didnt do much. I dont know what that says for the quality of AMA these days but hes also gone back to AMA this year and won his first race. Either he lacked the talent to be competitive in Moto2 or Rorys Team American Racing arent that great?

CB seemed like he made a decision based on his future earnings at that point in his career. I think he said he was too old to really get anywhere and wasnt going to get to MotoGP so best get back to America and earn.
Petrucci beat most of the American field easily enough and now he's struggling in wsb. I think America still needs to crank it up a few notches to produce anything like the 80s ever again. The UK is able to produce fairly consistent good but not good enough at GP level potential riders but the USA seems lost.

I seem to recall that Jake Dixon did fuck all in his first season or two in moto2 and now he's at the pointy end. Maybe a bit of patience required with Skinner.

I wonder if Bautista got offered it? I can't see a title contender saying yes to that sort of offer, but Petrucci is the sort of rider that'll quite happily ride anything!

Just thought he'd give it a crack given he's pissing it in WSB. 8 out 9 wins so far.

No LLP for MM if he turns up Correct decision, you can’t retro-apply a new rule. No word on whether MM will ride yet, depending on how the CT scan went today.
