Marquez said that Remy G is getting $100k or something like that. He said that's not enough for the top of the sport where you're doing 350kph.
Should Dorna make teams have a minimum base wage? It seems odd sometimes who manages to pull a real piece of financial wizardry and who doesn't. You had Shakey moving from BSB to Motogp and ringing his mum up to tell her he was a millionaire, meanwhile Remy may have been better off financially being the Moto2 champion.

Dunno if those figures are really accurate or if Marc is the best person to compare against or comment, (remeber that the PM of England earns about 150k... ) Sponsorship deals boost the rider's take home.
But still, both Gardner and Raúl fell into the trap with MotoGP. Aldeguer turned down rides because he sussed it out and realised that if you got at 18 yrs old, you get one year to prove yourself and that's it, next stop, e-scooter racing.
So yeah, 100k seems low, but its better than what he'll be earning next year.

Correction 1 - R.E.M.E.M.B.E.R
Correction 2 - Although i wish the cunt wasn't, Blow Job is actually PM of UK
Correction 3 - Can't say he earns his salary and there is no danger that is the sum total of his incomings. The slimey, tousled hair bastard.
Pedantry over
