Quite surprised he was 72. A mate met him coming out of the lavvies in an Edinburgh pub in the 80s; absolutely fucking hammered. Always remember him as Big Jazza in Tutti Frutti which launched a few careers and revived a few others. It was repeated recently and, well, hadn't aged particularly well.
RIP big man. An absolute fucking legend round these parts.

Bit of a shock Robbie passing. I endorse the legend status. He was brilliant in Tutti Frutti and Cracker but i loved his guest appearance on Still Game as Davy the unhinged bus driver. Don't know if you guys have seen this programme but if not you need to check out the episode called Dial a Bus. Funny as fuck.
