Strange isn't it that the efficacy of the vaccines are pretty much the same the world over, but in some countries it is seen as a disappointment, in others a resounding success.
A lesson in expectation management it seems.
But whether they meet our expectations or not is not really relevant to whether people should be discriminated against for choosing not to have it.
If I don't want to wear a helmet, I don't expect to be let into a track day, but if I don't want to vaccinate myself can I expect to be allowed into a restaurant?

If somebody could explain to the the 'real world' difference between going to a supermarket or high street shop unmasked, with no CoronaPass requirement, as opposed to a restaurant?....without getting into all the 1.5 or 2 metre 'rules' that are pretty much ignored anyway?
It's completely arbitrary..

Obviously the supermarket or shop is a lot more dangerous when it comes to propogation of the virus, most people in restaurants don't walk constantly up and down the aisles between tables, unless you count the waiters.
TBH the thought of being in a shop with people wandering around without masks on seems crazy to me now. But I guess at some point we will stop wearing them and have the same spike in infections as the UK had (is having). Last time I went to Carrefour some stupid old cunt was going to sneeze, so he pulled his mask down, sneezed, then put his mask back up... obviously no clue about what the mask is actually for.

It's completely arbitrary.. I think restaurants you have a choice of whether to go in or not. Supermarkets you have to go in unless you can get a home delivery slot. So supermarkets it should be masks all the way. Going to a restaurant is down to the individual to assess the risks vs enjoyment. We cant go on the way we were pre vaccination, living in a little bubble. I look at it this way. I wore proper 1 piece leathers on trackdays, I wouldn't consider textiles due to the speeds and higher risk of crashing involved. When touring I have used textiles as it was more convenient if the whether was changeable, but not so protective in a crash. In the end I preferred 2 piece leathers and rain over suit if it rained. Showery days were a PITA. That is all personal risk however, unlike public spaces & covid.

Do you know what a vaccine is? Like do you really know what a vaccine is / how they are made / whats actually in them etc etc? I did not and since reading this book I now like to think I have a fairly good understanding. I certainly know alot more than what I did before. It seems to be a very genuine story - the two ladies most responsible for developing the Oxford Vaccine worked their lives in the industry / a huge amount of work was done in their small labs before they got the required backing from AstraZeneca that made the mass production and roll out possible (so its not a story you concieve could be written with the bias sway of a big pharma company, it seems to just be true.) Its a good read - does drag abit in places but I read it with the objective to learn. I dont know how any reasonably inteligent person would argue against the medical advice + evidence it provides. Im not saying there should be a vaccine mandate, just thought it was on topic as I recently finished the book and would share.
