Had this problem on both my RC390 and the SV650. I've had them full throttle, top gear and suddenly the power will cut, I'll let off the throttle for moment and turn it back on and no problem. What's that all about? Fuel filter?

Seriously though, does sound like fuel supply issues. Vacuum forming in the tank?

Not a clue, it's just annoying I seem to have it both bikes. It's also totally random but seems to a full throttle only thing so hopefully it won't upset the bike mid corner.

The clear connection with those bikes is bought on the cheap badly maintained rubbish My approach would be go through all the easy and cheap stuff first. Like Clipper said, vacuum in the tank if its high revs only, maybe breather pipe/hole blocked.

2nd check would be for a dirty air filter.

Have you got the repair manuals? Do a fuel flow test of the fuel pump.

Can't remember the last time I was full throttle in top gear!...probably on a track day!

Full throttle is easy with 43 and 72hp. I'm literally one it nearly all the time on KTM. Got a KTM service manual, yet to download one for the SV but no doubt it will out there easy enough. Oddly enough the last time they both did it was at 86mph? Maybe if I got to 88mph then good things happen?
