Looking at so many bikes and too many are instant rejects because some daft cunt has painted Union jacks or England flags on the fucker.
Would you ever fuck your bike up like that? Of all the things I hate in biking (like those stick ears for helmets) I think the union jack is the worst. Wish I'd come across one a bit more daring with swastika or something.

Maybe if someone had a tank paint scheme dedicated to the start of Dad's Army you could have both?
I must admit that I wouldn't get a bike with a union jack on it, simply because I don't like the aesthetics. I like sports bikes to look as race-reppy as possible and customs to be as simple/minimal as possible.

Imagine doing this to a decent bike.

I don't mind a Union Flag on a bike as long as it's subtle. This is borderline IMO; This is not; My boss has just brought a Mini Cooper Works thingy and the mirror covers are in the style of the Union Flag, but it's in black, gun metal and silver. They aren't has bright as the following;

I can see the appeal of signifying your nationality when you are out of your home country (although I would never put an England / Union flag visible in Spain) but why would you want to have it in the UK? I don't get that. In Spain there is a tendency to put Spanish flags in the form of stickers or ribbons on the indicator stalks or mirror stems, but this is mainly a nationalistic statement and often a political message against seperatism. I think bikes and politics should be kept apart.

Which is why I said I wouldn´t do it! but at least it has some logic to it for some.

In Spain there is a tendency to put Spanish flags in the form of stickers or ribbons on the indicator stalks or mirror stems, Is this in anyway related to pushing a donkey off a bell tower to ensure a good harvest?
