I don't think I'd remember if you said her name to be honest. She defo raced the TZ250. I'm pretty sure it was blue also. She had dark hair from memory but she was pretty plain. Mind you Essex was full of stunners back then, so most girls appeared plain when I would venture elsewhere. I seem to recall a woman racing in the RS 250 cup but it may well have been a few years after? My memory is getting really bad though.

Just googled Jill Strong and it appears she lives in France and is a graphic designer. No pics though. Probably for the best as women tend to age like bread compared to men.

There was also such magazine have a go racing it's easy to get confused. Tbh I now think the rs250 thing was possibly a feature in one of them where they took a shite side character that wasn't fast from the mag and sent them racing.

Back to stripped threads.....
Got my radiator off and bought one of those rounded nut sockets to remove the offending nut off the manifold stud. Start turning....seems good, movement. Oh. Nut not going anywhere stud is being wound out instead. Tried to screw stud back in to make sure threads are ok....maybe not.....lucky I have a m8 1.25 thread cutter to clean it up.
Also managed to squash finger tip with the massive lump of shit that is the centrally mounted exhaust/cat. It's got zero room for removal and required lots of force to get out of hole. I fucking hate this bike. The lambda sensor on the manifold is also seized on and requires a ludicrous 23mm spanner which I don't own. Put an adjustable spanner on it but it ain't moving.
I hate this fucking bike. If I get bored of knee down this year I'm just buying a well cared for Enfield with minimal shit and I'll start riding with a cravate and metalflake lid.

The front garden had been replaced by slabs also. Spoiled it for me as I had some fun times there. I really fucking hate that. About ten years ago I had to do a visit to someone in Gravesend. It looked like everyone had paved or concreted over their front garden in one area. It made the whole manor ugly and gave it an east Germany vibe.
