SuperReject team in Buildbase Suzuki. You've got top hard knifeman Kent with perennial boat-misser Gino Rea.
I would think Kent would do the better of the two and so he should really.

What did Kent do last year? (apart from Porridge?)

Superstock 1000. Seems to gain traction as the year went on. Thing is he is a moto 3 world champion. I guess it would work for him like it did for Redding but Redding is more of an outhouse and we'll see if Kent can muscle something heavy and powerful.

I think Kent will shine at a meeting or two but will finish the championship outside the top ten. If he is retained on a good superbike team for 2022, he could grow into it and become a race winner. He could equally be out of a ride by round three this year though.

Same for Rea tbh. I expect a split at some point.

Well I spent a bit of time looking for the 2020 Superstock 1000 standings, but gave up. Not even Wikipedia has the info.
I assume Kent was mid-pack.
Thing is, he obviously has talent, but the team management in GPs is more stringent, more likely to keep "free spirits" on the straight and narrow which I think is what happened in his titke year. I reckon that as long as he is in national level racing he will struggle to get back into it. He doesn't seem to be a grafter, or someone with any staying power.
I hope he turns it around though, he's been handed so many chances....

I remembered him winning the last race but looking at that his form was on an upward slope as the season ended. He wasn't on the best bike or team combo either. I think a lot depends on how his season starts. Stating the obvious as usual though

He'll do fuck all if he's off to BSB past his prime and only managed that in WSB. Kiyo was at least a young riser in BSB. If Redding can come in from Motogp - having previously challenged for a moto2 title - and not cake walk it then this guy doesn't stand a chance. Bit pessimistic but BSB ain't easy.

Kyle Ryde has the race lap record, 53.342s. 1st session they were 1.7s off that as it was damp/drying. www.tsl-timing.com/file/?f=BSB/2021/211713ss1sbk.pdfFrom the rain radar it looks like its showers for the rest of the day after noon, but should be dry tomorrow.
