I'm not hearing the pro Rea commentary bias as much as you are Meeks but to be fair, Rea is a dominant champion and maybe they have a good relationship with him. I heard plenty of praise for other riders during the day from them both.

I guess when you are the championship leader you will get more commentary and I can excuse partisan type stuff like Whitham but it's like they've got a limited script and it just got repeated and repeated. Ryder going on about how Rea makes you think you can keep up and then checks out ad infinitum. I think he is missing GP in which he could fill the space with numerous other paddock tales like telling us about test riding a z1000 at Laguna in 1977 (pretty sure that's actually one I remember when it was the US round)

I'd like Ducati to take a punt on Rea in Moto GP, they've been walloped by him so much lately they surely know how good he is, and he has to be better than at least three of their present guys. And to be honest i'm getting bored by his domination of WSBK.

Rea was trying hard to get 3rd and wrap the title up today. 1 pointed needed in Estoril. Wrapping it up would have been good, he could then afford to crash on the warmup lap like Locatelli did.

When Biaggi can win a title buy 1/2 a point then anything can happen. I'd imagine even if Rea rode about at 85% he'd still easily get points though.

Great ride by Redding today. But Rea knows his bike so well, he was on the verge of crashing so many times trying to get third. I wonder how Baz would have done at that track in the dry?

What's impressive about Redding is he mostly seems to work with the team to go forwards. Look at the start of the weekend.
Not really impressed with Lowes this season, too flash in the pan. Vdm is also disappointing, in fact all Yamaha riders seemed to have more potential than they delivered.
I hope Rabat gets a seat somewhere as the series needs more talent. Its like one of those long running series at the moment.

I hope Rabat gets a seat somewhere as the series needs more talent. Well there's an Oxymoron for ya! If Rabat were to appear in the current SBK lineup, I think he'd be around mid-field talent level, plenty of better riders in SBK than him at the moment IMHO. Even Abraham couldn't get a SBK ride. Says a lot.

Ok, then a change of scenery. I think Davies needs to ply his trade on something else. His results have been poor for about 3 years now, maybe he'd click with another make. Was kind of thinking someone like Danny Kent would have blitzed ss1000 and maybe sparked some interest but he won't be troubling the world stage again.
Petrucci would be good on a superbike. I reckon Miller will end up in WSB at some point.

Its not the riders its the technical regulations. I think Ryder said that Ten Kate couldn't get the ECU to play ball with the Yamaha, they couldn't go to Crescent to see whats up.
BSB regulations, closer racing. Proven.
WSB shouldn't be an old peoples home for ex MotoGP racers passed their prime.

Need for european/world talent in it though. I guess if you're hot stuff you'll always try the gp route. That leaves us with gp rejects and nations that are obsessed with superbikes.
