Post your favourite TV sketches, stand up, whatever.
I'll kick off with a classic Burnistoun sketch. Laugh your tits off at this.

Oh. I saw Alexei Sayle in a small comedy club in Glasgow a few years ago. If you can imagine Jimi Hendrix coming out of retirement and playing your local, it was like that except with jokes.

This is one of the best observed single sketches I've ever seen. It always makes me laugh. Limmy's show was hilarious, especially Dee Dee.

He was brilliant in the IT Crowd. But, like you, Droogie Nights, if you put a gun to my head and made me decide on one TV comedy, for me it would have to be Filthy Rich and Catflap.

If there is one piece of comedy that sums up my sense of humour and is my favourite piece of standup, it is this Economics overview by Doug Stanhope. My favourite standup comedians are Doug Stanhope, Bill Burr, Dave Chappelle and Bill Hicks. But this sketch of Doug's is the pinnacle. I urge you to give it a try.

The series is dear to my heart for many reasons. A lot of people, even those who liked The Young Ones and Bottom, don't know it exists. I'm pretty sure it was only broadcast by the BBC once. It was aired years later on UK Gold but each episode was cut to buggery. Even the DVD release has a ton of cuts in it from what was originally broadcast. You can still see the Oliver Twist 'bit' on YouTube on some very grainy old home taped video footage though. That particular scene and most of the others were cut because of music licensing.
There are a load of excellent cameos and most of all I loved how they tore down old-school light entertainment 'legends' such as Tarby. A biting satire of the television industry of the time which probably had a lot to do with why it was quietly shuffled to one side after being broadcast. Eminently quotable and suitably seedy.

Been a fan of Bill Burr for a long while now. Sadly I think he is going soft in his old age and this is having a negative impact on his style of comedy.
