Joe Rogan recently caused a stir by saying gaming is a waste of time. I guess it is if you wanted to do something else and traded the time off for gaming.
Cleaning shit more than it needs cleaning is my personal idea of a waste of time. I go to Sherburn and Squires Cafe and I see these bikes that must literally get polished for a number of days in the year and I just think what a waste of time. Same with bicycles, some cunts have completely clean, spotless bikes and mine is covered in a layer of dusty grime at best and sometimes mud and shit at worst. I literally clean my bicycle properly about once a year.

Seriously though here's a waste of time for you: Reading this site if you're not a poster.
Today for example there have been 8 of us connected, sounds about right, some days we can get 20 people together jabbering away.
But today there were also nearly 150 guests reading... 150 people who don't post are reading this bollocks on a daily basis? That's a waste of time right there. Go and do something better FFS, even if it's gaming!

Not everyone is creative though Pantah. I read something saying an alarming percentage of people are simply incapable of such a thing. Experiences must simply be visually fed into them as they can't for example read a book and imagine or picture what they've just read.

My boy is addicted to driving games, and I'd much rather that than gun based games (although he is an enormous chav when it comes to taste in cars...)
I like to say that I don't play video games because I too think its a waste of time, but then my wife criticises me for being glued to online scrabble in every spare minute I get. Where do you the draw the line?
Is my son a gamer? Am I?

I'm addicted to driving games....or sims to be more precise. Just upgraded my steering wheel and my graphics card to handle VR. It's another world compared to flat TV gaming, you're literally in a car cockpit. Add in force feedback wheels and if you're loaded, a motion rig and it's nearly there. Dirt Rally is insane in VR, anyone that doubts VR, at least for driving games would be convinced after 30 seconds at it. The only thing most of them don't get down is the sensation of speed, or maybe the problem is you know you can't get hurt to the speed doesn't hit you like the real world. It's a fun waste of time!
I spent 30 mins to an hour every night on the piano at the moment, been at it for over a year now and I know I'm never going to be a great pianist but I keep plugging away. I'm wasting my time if I ever expect to be 'good' but I enjoy it. Same with riding motorbikes, I'm not 'fast' fast on a bike whereas I feel like I just needed a silver spoon in the mouth when it comes to cars and I could have been racing 911s with Tarquin at BTCC rounds. I can 'feel' a car in a way I can't feel a bike so I'd be wasting my time going racing bikes I guess as you need to interpret what's going on at a fine level.
Currently wasting my time watching Clash of the Titans (original) and I can sense my homeworking wife is getting wound up as she expects me to be doing 'something'

It all comes down to personal choice i suppose. For instance if it's hot day (have to try and imagine that) i see people quite happy to lie on a sunbed and do fuck all but toast themselves.
I like it when it's warm but i like to be moving and doing things. I might sit still and read but it would need to be in the shade.
The beaches in Benidorm would be my worst nightmare.

I read a lot but it tends to be fiction which is ultimately a waste of time as I could be using that time to edufuckincate myself.
Having said that, I only read while taking a shite or a bath so technically I'm multitasking...

IP address logged as 1 most likely. Or is it spam bots looking for key words so they can post something. Or is it old forum members who flounced off but still read the forum, to confirm they think we are a right shower. My guess is spam bots and figuring fuck it, not worth the effort  |
