Well the Banzai derby sounded like a belter. Happy with the point and surely to fuck, Tony Watt can't be far off getting back into the Scotland squad. He needs more consistency but fuck me, when he's on it he's some player. Sounds like it was a fair result. It's harder to get into the Scotland squad when you play for a diddy team. That's no disrespect to Motherwell cos Hibs are diddy too. Oh absolutely. Pretty sure he was in the squad when he was at Celtic. He's a much better player now.

He's definitely a better player than Lyndon Dykes.

Goalkeepers are now officially a protected species. The chalked off Villa goal against Leicester was ridiculous. How can they say Scmeichel had control of the ball. Lunacy.

As much as I can't stand that unofficial 4th official, he just about got the ball into a foul position before contact. He ended up on the losing team so all good.

A fucking millisecond!!! Good job it didn't affect the result but come on, that's a shite rule.

A fucking millisecond!!! Good job it didn't affect the result but come on, that's a shite rule. The Law says: A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball with the hand(s) when:
- the ball is between the hands or between the hand and any surface (e.g. ground, own body) or by touching it with any part of the hands or arms except if the ball rebounds from the goalkeeper or the goalkeeper has made a save
- holding the ball in the outstretched open hand
- bouncing it on the ground or throwing it in the air
A goalkeeper cannot be challenged by an opponent when in control of the ball with the hand(s). That seems fair to me.

Sure the letter of the law gives them a reason to scrub the goal but I'm saying the law over protects the keeper. How about Godfrey's stamp on the Arsenal player's head tonight? VAR looked at it and not even a yellow. Inconsistent.

Pantah, Godfrey should have been sent off. Exactly. He tried to make it look like an accident but actually he was being a cunt.

Jack Ross sacked by Hibs. I know they've been on a poor run but theyre hardly in a relegation battle. This seems harsh, particularly when they've a cup final coming up.
An opportunity for Neil Lennon to return? 😉

An opportunity for Neil Lennon to return? 😉 Surprise for me too. A pal was at the game last night, said Hibs were shite and our own fans were singing sacked in the morning. That pisses me off. Thin line in the soccer business management type thing

Interesting draw for the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup. Both Banzai teams managed to avoid the old firm but unfortunately only one of us will be in the semis.
Think I'll pop along to this one.
