Getting a bit sick of rain stop play. Surely they just need to invest in better drainage?

I was quite surprised that they cancelled TBH.
Maybe it was because I was fast forwarding through the recording, but it didn't look like it was anything like as bad a MGP at Silverstone last year.
Are we edging towards an era in which motorcycle racing is a dry weather sport only?

I wonder if it will be off the calendar next year? Move it to Mugello. Either track gets my vote.

The riders interviewed were pretty clear that the problem wasn't grip, it was the standing water at the most dangerous points on the circuit. The walls are pretty close and this is a fast track. Going down in these conditions mean the bike and rider and travelling far faster than in the dry, potentially skittling other riders on even sliding back on track at the chicanes. Sensible decision in my opinion.

Did anyone see Charlie Hiscott's interview with Lavilla, freekin brilliant. For those who didn't, he put him on the spot about race 2 and when he ducked the decision & put it back to the riders Hiscott reminded him it was basically his job to make that decision, not the riders. He didn't like that one bit & looked like he was seriously contemplating planting the forehead onto the bridge of Hiscott's hooter.

Lavilla is just picking up a paycheque in that job. He seemed to think there was no problem with WSB last year and Rea's dominance was nothing to do with his bike and wouldn't agree the series needed BSB style rules. If you can't see what's what as an ex-rider then you're blinded by that easy Dorna money. Seems like he doesn't like making decisions.
