Has nobody been listening to music since before TEH LOCKDOWN? I suppose we've all been a bit preoccupied with life and shit. 6 Music have got the latest from Doves on rotation, I much likey.
They're also playing the Tricky single a lot and Gawd I don't like that at all. Makes my spine itch on the inside.

I've not bought the new Doves album yet (I still buy albums. Out of shops) as much as I'm a huge fan. Caught them live when they reformed and it was fucking joyous. Got a ticket for Barrowlands next year. It's optimistic given the current shite but I'm hopeful.

He's somehow evaded my tunedar up until now. I'm very much loving my rummage through his back catalogue. My neighbours aren't sharing my joy but fuck me that bass needs serious volume to tell its tale. Should we ever get live music back and should Mungo's Hi Fi bring their thang to a venue near you then go and enjoy what they do. It's good. It's really fucking good |

I fluctuate badly between falling back in love with them and rejecting them with a fucking passion. It's male middle aged prognopause. Dark Side is undoubtedly my least favourite of their albums, always has been. If I have a favourite era it's between Sid getting humped out the door and Dark Shite. Having said that, Animals is a prog masterpiece. I don't know. They're pish, they're brilliant, don't fucking ask me. Atom Heart Mother? Aaaahhh, don't mind if I do my dude...

Some music works better with mind altering drugs and Floyd are in that category. One of my finest memories was a few years back, warm dark night, in the garden with some mates, all well stoned and Comfortably Numb cranked up to eleven. That worked for me definitely.  |

I didn't take enough LSD to appreciate Floyd. Yeah well I kind of did and they were in their element when I was utterly spangled but that was a very long time ago and they don't really fit in to today's clean(ish) living. |
