I thought that the LibDems (Jo Swinson) has said they they will Revoke Article 50 if they win a GE, thus ignoring the referendum result... or am I off the mark here? Thats correct. They seem to be hoping all people who want to remain in the EU will vote for them. The referendum was only advisory. If they say in their manifesto thats what they are going to do, it seems democratic to me. Its just a cheap way of getting votes. It would seem very unprincipled if they got in power with fewer people voting for them than the number voting for leaving the EU. It would be better to say they are going to offer a second referendum. After the referendum I thought fair enough, we are leaving. But the amount of crap from the Leave side, ministers lying on live TV about immigration from Turkey, details which surfaced afterwards, like Cambridge Analytica, leaves a bitter feeling about it. They weren't very principled either.

The DUP have a fucking nerve. There's been no parliament in NI for three years because they agree on nothing yet Brexit is all about the Irish border. Another bribe coming their way i suspect. Hmm, the DUP. They opposed the Good Friday Agreement - the people of NI voted for it, 71.1%. They supported Brexit - the people of NI voted against it, 55.8% voted remain. They blocked May's deal and now they are saying no to Johnston's deal. They voted NO to block a no deal taking place on 4 September 2019 , supporting a no deal in affect. Democracy in action.

Just give Northern Ireland to the South and that's that problem solved. Nobody in the rest of the UK would care.

I think that the people of NI would care a great deal! the push for a united Ireland will be difficult to stop.....the catholic population is increasing quicker than the Protestant, there will be a Catholic majority in the not too distant future, and more importantly amongst the young.

Am I the only one getting hacked off with Johnson?
May achieved fuck all in three years whereas in three months, Johnson gets a WA vote victory. Given the 'get on with it' message, why the fuck not press on instead of delaying by not allowing debate and/or calling for an election?
He is slowing it down.

Given the 'get on with it' message, why the fuck not press on instead of delaying by not allowing debate and/or calling for an election? He is slowing it down. The WA vote was to continue scrutinising it rather than chuck it out completely. He lost the timetable plan vote to rush it through. I think he delayed the WA bill as he is hoping the EU will say no extension, then there wont be any time left for passing the WA bill, so no deal exit.

The latest news seems the EU are in favour of an extension but haven't decided for how long yet.
Corbyn said recently they wouldn't agree to an election if there was a chance we would crash out without a deal by 31st October. This morning on ITV, he now said he wont agree to an election if there was a possibility we cant agree deal going forward with the EU at all, we are on WTO rules at the end of 2020. I'd say its very likely we cant agree a trade deal before then, these things take years. Corbyn knows he cant win an election so doesn't want one. He has changed his meaning of 'take no deal off the table'.
