Last round of the season for STK1000 and SSP300 (even though some bikes are 400cc). Reiterberger needs 5 points to take the STK1000 title, although if he DNFs 2 others could win it. 4 riders could win the SSP300, but Carassco has a 10 point lead over Deroue. So if Deroue wins Carassco would need 3rd. There have been 7 races so far, and 6 different winners, Carassco taking 2 wins. Rea could win the WSBK title in R1, team boss says there are no team orders  The weather forecast did look very pleasant when I looked this morning, but now they reckon it might rain Sunday PM on some forecasts weather.com/en-GB/weather/tenday/l/MagnyCours+France+FRXX3676:1:FR. |

Another top ride from Rea again, overtook Sykes at a place you dont often see overtakes. Everyone else is far too inconsistent to challenge him for the title again.

Everyone else is dire or their bikes are. That was sickening listening to the commentary blow smoke up Rea's arse. You'd think he'd just beaten Marquez 4 times in a row or something. The bit where they said he'd probably have tears in his eyes about this. Yeah right, probably tears of laughter about how easy it was. |

It looked like a decent Saturday crowd. The stands at Imola were full down until the front 4 rows or so, where you cant see much, and the terracing where Rea played poker with his 4 aces was busy as well. The French seem to go for the weekend and camp.
Rea 5 card trick for next year.

Well done Rea, you can only beat what’s put in front of you but I still can’t get enthusiastic about it. He’s very good or the rest of the field are weak....He needed to go to MotoGP.....

SSP300 was as exciting as usual again and what a way to win a title battling through that lot from the back to finish 13th. Well done Anna Carrasco.

It won't happen but Kawasaki should be persuaded by Dorna to make a MotoGP comeback. I think Rea could be top ten on his current WSB running carbon brakes and no restrictions on the engine tuning. It wouldn't be too difficult to build a prototype using their current bike as a template.
