The DUP/Tory deal is astonishing. The DUP agree to not block any Brexit votes when they are in favour of Brexit anyway and part of the agreement is to discuss some other votes on a case by case basis. At least the money is going to be spent on projects to make NI a better place to live. Any other areas of the country with similar issues will be quite rightly annoyed. Is this extra money put on the tab or will cuts be made elsewhere?

Talking of buying votes, is that what Corbyn did with the student vote?

Cheers Mason, Ive just had a Bobby Ewing moment. Woke after a shower and Austerity was just a horrible dream. All I'm saying is that there's been no reduction in government spending which has carried on increasing under the tories; "Austerity" is a soundbite not reality. There have been cuts in certain areas that is true but not to reduce spending only to pay for a still ongoing expansion in spending on social protection and NHS which now soak up 25% of GDP. In Africa it would be called vote buying.

Actually after seeing that vid and looking at the current state of uk politics a hippy that talks to his plants, a Greek who insults anything that moves and a ginger might be the best option the Brits have. I wouldn't be too hasty, just yet.

Didn't they just find billion of pounds to buy votes of 10 bigot homo hating anti dinosaur Jesus he real guy catholic hating thundercunts? I agree that the freeze on public sector pay has to stop, not by just borrowing more money to pay for it but by cutting the cash spent on things like welfare and the NHS. The problem is that, contrary to what the left believe, you can't have something for nothing. If the government was spending within its means it wouldn't be austerity, if it spent below its means it would be austerity, what we actually have is profligacy. The sooner people understand that we don't have austerity then the sooner government can formulate policies to reduce its unsustainable debt. Foreign aid should be the first to go except to the very needy. Reducing in work benefits and making the employers pay the real cost would help and stopping throwing money at the monster called the NHS without massive reforms to improve its efficiency. Stopping immigration of ultra cheap Labour would also help as this does nothing to help the economy or normal working people whose wages would otherwise be much higher. Sorting things out will be painful and it is normal people who will take most of the pain but we can't live on debt and printed money for ever, the end of that is coming fast. Stop globalization, get the political/financial elite under some kind of control, cancel the climate change act and lets have cheaper energy again so many sensible things that unfortunately won't happen.

But El Noodle point was the cheering by Toryboy arseholes at freezing the pay. Particularly after fire in block of flats. Particularly after finding billion pounds down back of settee to buy grubby votes of bigots. Difficult for El Noodle to imagine more offensive shower of cocksockets.
And if country is scratching arse for money, perhaps it should cancel useless nuclear weapons and stop invading middle east. Always money available for that but never enough to pay nurses or fire geezers enough to live on. Really not know why you guys always vote for bad people in government.

VOTE BLOJO (when he makes his bid for leadership of the Conservative and Unionist* Party).
* It's always puzzled me that the Conservatives hate some unions and yet love others; we are all people when we're sitting naked on the toilet, sobbing uncontrollably.

I won't disagree with you Noodle. I'm a Libertarian and usually a natural Conservative but I just hate all of the bastards now. At least Corbyn isn't what I'd call a professional politician though and in many ways I like him. Not the Marxists and Trots who control him from Momentum but he is at least straight and consistent.

I'm amused at the prospect of Donald Trump disembarking Air Force One at Heathrow* with a blanket over his head.
* He'll be snuck in on a Gulfstream via Northolt; just like any true Man of The People.

I'm still gobsmacked by the sheer stupidity of driving the Brexit train over the cliff. Back in the 80's Thatcher's stated policy to break the unions was to dump manufacturing and promote a white collar economy. Fairly simplistic thinking but blue collar jobs = labour votes, white collar = Tory votes. I'm loathe to admit it but it worked really well. However, this Faustian pact made by Thatcher and her cronies involved handing over the key's of the City to Johnny Foreigner. London and the South East is the only part of the United Kingdom that currently generates a net profit. The German, Swiss, Murican and French bankers plus all the support staff in IT and financial services etc..is actually the only thing keeping the good ship "Little England" afloat. And what have we done to these fine gentlemen, stuck 2 fingers up at them, that's what. Now to be fair, London & SE voted to remain. Trade deals with India ain't going to fill that hole if the city boys feck off home. I've had 2 of my siblings laid off in the last 6 months as a direct result of Brexit, one in London and one in Dublin. My sister in London was invloved in high end lettings, supplying City workers on secondment to London. That market hit the rails as soon as the result came through and word in Dublin is that some of the Banks are looking to move here. If there is a mass exodous out of London, Uk PLC will go down the tubes. Simples.
