France stepped it up there and showed how basic football wins, no fucking about with sideways possession shit, get the ball up to the forwards quickly before the opposition defence gets sorted, its not rocket science is it.
Ironically Spain had just the man in Costa to play like that and cocked up.

1st half has boring but what a 2nd half. Courtois nearly had the goalkeeping mistake of the decade when he let that 1/2 hit shot through his legs. Looking back at the highlights, Hazard hit the post, Lukaka missed 2 or 3 chances after scoring from all his chances before today. It could have been 6-2. Neymar lucky not to have a compound fracture of his ankle after the Mexican decided to stamp viciously on him  They haven't seen break-dancing like that on the streets of Rio compared to his touchline rolling around performance. |

Japans goalie will be having mares over those first two goals, modern keepers seem to be encouraged to be off their feet no matter what sort of save their making, that Jap probably would have saved the second if he'd stood up.

Coming up on the blind side Croatia have looked good too. Don't know if they have the bottle to win it but i'm hoping it's one of the so called lesser teams than win it. In the KO round I've picked 5 Croatians for their game against Denmark as I think they will keep a clean sheet and score a couple. I picked Ronaldo for 1 game, but it didnt feel right, cheating wanker. It took him 3 minutes to fall over in the box in his 1st game to get a penalty.
Tp be fair that was a penalty...He caught him. At Ronaldos speed you dont need a lot to go over

It was clear that the Colombian's plan was to disrupt the English team by foul play and they nearly got away with it.
FIFA need to buck their ideas up. It took 3 minutes for the ref to get the Colombians out of the box for Kane to take his penalty.
Since when has a ref's decision become a group discussion?
The level of cheating and indiscipline has reached new levels and has marred an otherwise tournament.

No clear favourites in Englands side of the draw despite the hype, apart from the interest in England I don't fancy watching any of the others, the other half of the draw looks cracking.
