Just an observation from someone that used to make orthopedic implants. Couldn't they have aligned the bones better when they pinned yer leg, (unless the bits were removed of course)

Weight bearing yes, but my brain doesn't want to The un-aligned bit is the fibular, that usually is just left from what I read and head from others in the same situation. Aches a bit, but getting more movement, but got to get going on weighting it more.

Going well, off crutches and hobbling along. Actually having to learn to walk properly again, but its not easy. More of trusting the leg. Doing some cycling that goes well.

Going well thanks for asking! Been cycling, physio and yoga.
Need more strenght but getting there. Still have a small limp so I have to concentrate and walk carfully.
Actually back on board. Did 82 km/h yesterday :-)

Seems like you've already done most of the getting well so I can only say DON'T DO IT AGAIN!

I wasn't expecting this much progress myself. The doctors are impressed.
Not having a cast but the tianium rod meant I was on my bicycle 1 month after the break. This gave movement, circulation and strength. Also good for the mind after been stuck pretty much inside.
