Looks a treat. I've noticed a few young lads around here riding Yamaha YZF125s with 'open' cans (read they have fucked around with the silencer). They sound shite. You cant beat a ring-ding-ding.

Well the fairing finally arrived. Not unwrapped it all yet but checked it is all there. Unwrapped the front panel to look at quality. It is ok. Not terrible for the price these full fairing kits cost. Got stung an extra £24.50 import tax though. I will get it fitted at the weekend.

That looks toppers Droog. As has been mentioned, almost mades me want to indulge in a stupid purchase (will probably buy a shit Alfa Mito first).
I do miss the sound of stokers from our streets. All these mong kids on shitty 4 strokes that sound like they;re being sick don't know what they're missing.
Rambo's dubbed on 2 stroke noise in First Blood sounds top.

It does sound nice. Crisp but not too loud or offensive.

Plans got scuppered this weekend. Got sent the wrong fairing bolt kit and the chimney lug nuts I ordered were too wide to fit in the recess on the headlights. Did full service on car instead. Ordered more fixings. It really is fighting me all the way.

It's been more pain for no reward. Ended up having to make most of the fittings myself. Also had to re-route front brake hose and throttle cable. Not finished yet but nearly done. Hopefully done by weekend.

Forgot to add. I took it for a blat down my country lane on Sunday afternoon. Hit an indicated 56 MPH on the speedo still pulling hard with two gears to go. It will definitely do 80 MPH. Geared it perfectly.

Just got home from work. Picked up the seats so had to wait around for 3 hours after work for them to open. Looking good. Just got to fit left hand side lower fairing panel and it's done.

Finished the fairing which ended up being a ballache. Even though this model RS50 uses the same fairing as the later RS125, there is a small difference. The area where the side stand is located is different. Had to dremel a larger recess into the fairing panel. Had some other bits and pieces to do to make it all fit. Took it for another blat. Went a different route which has more hills. This showed up the lack if power to pull the gearing. It's fine on the relatively flat A13 but on less ideal conditions it faired less well. Decided to get another front sprocket with 2 teeth less. Probably top out at about 65MPH but will work better for everyday use. Will book it in for its MOT next week.
