Despite the MM win last round I think Bags will have this one ahead of JM. But if MM doesn't mess up in qualifying and gets a decent grid place it'll still make it interesting. Bastianini had the speed but, again, qualifying wasn't the best so he should be up there too.

Currently, the weather forecast for Saturday's Sprint is potential rain, but should be OK for Sunday's GP. This may play into MM's hands for the Sprint! |

Decent Moto 3 race, thought Alonso had it in the bag!
Not sure how Canet managed to lose the Moto2 race, it was his for the taking, Dixon throwing his chances away. Aspar's face said it all.
At least the MGP race was a bit spicier than of late.
Nothing wrong with Bastianini putting up the inside of Martin, plenty have got away with more aggressive moves, especially on the last lap, but I'm not sure he should have got away with running off the track, its not as if he can claim that it was Martin pushing him wide.

Martin didn't really have any choice though did he?....Bastianini went way out wide to the white line, JM had no choice but to runoff or he/both might have gone down. Good job the runoff was tarmac and not gravel.

Moto 3 best race of the day as usual, i'd love to see these young guns mixing it up with the big bike guys in this class.
Moto 2 no one dominating it, consistency looks like the way and just when i was thinking Dixon could sneak it by way of regular top 4 finishes he bins it.....oh shit.
Moto GP, couldn't give a shit whether it was a hard move or not, it was an overtake and the class needs those badly, the race was tense but not exciting until the "moment", apart from the sheer speed Moto GP bores me now.

Bastianini went way out wide to the white line, Bastianni went well over the white line, even after using Martin as a berm. I don't think the lunge itself was too hard, as Bella says, we need more overtaking and at least it was last lap so arguably even more justifiable, but if you can't stay on the track, you've overcooked it in my book (and supposedly in the Race Direction book too, but sometimes they forget to read it). I've even read that a possible justification for not penalising Bastianni for exceeding track limits was that the paint on the other side of the line where he went off is blue and not green. Not sure if that's true or not, but if it is it was a master-stroke on his part. |

MGP, a bit boring until the end. JM went wide and late and EB went for the gap. Hardly a touch. Went wide yes. JM knows he would have done the same if roles we reversed. Racing end of story.
