The Acosta hype train has really derailed these past few rounds. Bro is looking for a trip to hospital.

Indeed. Does not bode well for the main event.

Moto3 teased us there. I thought it was going to be boring, but oh no.

Moto3 was good. Moto2 was ok... maybe.
MotoGP not finished yet but if not for Marquez cutting through the field then nothing would be happening

No real comment on the racing really, dull circuit. Dixon rode a good race.
But what's the deal with Vision Track / MLav?
Getting a Spanish rider in to substitute Whatley? I'm not saying Whatley should have stayed, but Perez is hardly setting the world on fire. I doubt the sponsorship hotline is ringing off the hook. I am guessing that attracting sponsors was the main reason for getting him onboard, but I can't believe that there was no UK rider ready to give it a go.

Realistically what talent do we have? I'm struggling to think of riders I'd even promote to WSS or WSB never mind young ones that look like GP material.
Weird how we had the Haslam/Sykes/Camier/Laverty/Rea/Crutchlow etc. purple patch and now it's pretty much dried up

M3 was good, didn't see M2. Watched MGP on no spoiler replay, but fast forwarded a few times due to boredom setting in. Shit circuit really, location aside.

MLav's top rider in the Junior GP series, Eddie O'Shea will apparently step up to Moto3 in Indonesia, and for 2025. Perez is just doing the Euro rounds until O'Shea is free.

Right, I'm probably going to get slated for this but:
Marc was going to win races in 2024 even if he signed for KTM or Aprilia.
He clearly was going to need time to adapt to the Ducati, but he was soon going to be challenging for wins (I thought so too).
Now, I think he is doing very well, and the Spanish commentators are right to praise him, especially his come back through the field on Sunday and the fact that he is by far the best GP23 rider.
But the stats show a different story. His race time on the GP 23 on Sunday was slower than Bagnaia's time on the same bike in the same race a year ago. Similarly Bagnaia's fastest lap last year was faster than Marc's this year. Has the GP23 got slower due to passing to a private team? Or is Mar still not a FB's level of Ducati mastery?

FB is still the king of Ducati, but he's been riding one since 2019. Again, MM is the best of the rest on non-Factory kit, with way less riding time that all the other GP23 riders, and he's done that in his first year on the bike. I still think he will be a real threat in 2025 but he's still learning the bike and is, unfortunately, making some mistakes. As to MM winning on a KTM or Aprilia, possibly, we might get a better idea of how good the Aprilia is once Martin, a genuine title contender, gets on it next season.

I'm sure I heard them say on BT that bike 'full' factory 23 bike isn't maybe what Marc has. Pretty sure they were on about Ducati maybe restoring it to it's full capability and sounds like you get a slightly turned down version of the factory bikes if you run them the year after.
