I am strictly a fair weather rider so its that time of the year when the road bike gets moth-balled until March and the long wait begins. Not this time around though. I've been harping on about having another 250 2t for years, and its just arrived, albeit in off road spec Only had half an hour on it but it was enough to give me arm pump MX doesnt get much coverage on banzi, any other dirtbikers out there?

I bought an old IT 250 once, (a YZ250 with lights). Scared the living shit out of me, no way I could ride it properly with my skinny physique.
Respect to those that can ride these things properly off road.

Well said Clipper, thats exactly what I thought when I first rode it. Its extremely physical and I found it quite intimidating. Great fun though, when the power comes the rear just breaks loose in an instant. Cant wait to get back on it again and get some practice in.

Yes enjoy Spuu! Definitely don't get cocky with it, a CR250 scorned will get you carted off to the hospital with a suspected fractured pelvis soon as look at you.... Trust me....

You speaking from experience there Matt I'll ride it like the novice I am, until maybe I get abit cocky and think I know what I'm doing .

Only bike to ever throw me so high in the air that I landed head first was a 250 KX. I like my MX bikes. Started my racing technician work in MX before moving on to BSB series. Don't follow MX, Enduro or supercross anymore but I used to up until about 2006. I'd love a 125 two stroke MX bike now.

ive often thought of taking up M/X or Enduro in the off-season but the lads I know who do it seem to be permanently injured. Nothing serious but constant niggles and breaks. I love my footy too much to risk it...Plus our lass wont let me!

I'm not going near a track until I know I'm any good / feel comfortable. I have a farmers field I can run it in, plenty of space so cant see it'll be that hazardous (famous last words I know). Its pretty flat. I imagine when you throw the jumps in / start riding around other riders etc the injury chances increase substantially! If anyone is in the midlands and would like to come and have a blast one Sat morning you are welcome (30mins from M5 J6)

I'm a trials man myself, but I can see the attraction of MX. If I was to go down the off road speed route I'd lean toward enduro. Enjoy fella

Enjoy Spuu, they are a right bloody laugh (Yes that was from personal experience.... Ooops!! I got complacent, and that's not the thing to do on A CR250... )

So much fun. Although I spent nearly as much time trying to clean it after. I was using a hose, I dont suppose its a good idea to jet wash them - do you know?

Rinse with a hose, spray 'Muc off' or similar all over the bike. Give it a few minutes then spray it off, I generally give it some soapy water and a sponge if I'm really feeling the love. Power washers tend to take the transfers off and do the bearings no good.
