Bit late but the racing for anything but 1st was ok.
Maybe we need a Toprak ballast? First the Ducatis got penalised because they were too good and now the BMW is good does that get a penalty?

I'm not sure what to make of Most: the first third looks pretty awful TBH, one line and every tight, even though it appears to be fairly flowing, but that first chicane invites contact and it needs to be opened out. However, the final 2/3 looks amazing.
One rider has always seemed to dominate recently: Rea on the Kawasaki, then Bautista on the Ducati and now Toprak on the Beemer! Maybe the Duke's need a ballast reduction, but Bautista's late race pace is terrific once the fuel load drops.

Toprak is making the difference on the BMW...the others are nowhere really. I didn't see any difference between the BMW and Ducati on the straight, very similar, but easier for the Ducati to pass the Yamaha. If Toprak doesn't go to MotoGP in the next 2 years it'll be a shame from a fan point of view, he's 27 so still has some time.

I think Toprak is busted as far as Motogp is concerned. BMW have stated he's going nowhere in 2025. A lot of riders have signed 2 year deals in GP so 26 isn't really available.
This leaves 27 and the new regs when MAYBE BMW enter motogp. Toprak will probably then get stabbed in the back if still with BMW as they try and buy Acosta or somebody.

I like the circuit, a bit different from most (get it? I'll get me coat) with the different lines through the chicanes etc.
The good thing about Toprak is that he's never going to be boring to watch, even if he wins by 30 seconds. But to be honest he's only doing what Bautista did up till last year, including wiping the floor with his team mate(s).
It was easy to point the finger at Ducati and say that they were only winning due to Bautista's weight which was an advantage, but what unique advantage does Toprak have that they can legislate away? 20 second grid penaly for Muslims?
I think there's more to his frustrated MGP moves than just BMW. Contracts can be broken, its just a matter of money and I don't think he's short on that. If Remy Gardner is being eyed up for a MotoGP return, it just doesn't folow that Toprak couldn't make the jump if he / his manager really wanted to.

I read somewhere that TR had an escape clause in is contract,
Gardner has had his chance...IMHO..
Looks like Oliveira could be on the way to Pramac Yamaha, so a spare seat at Trackhouse for Joe Roberts being mooted. American rider in American team...makes sense.

Remy has been a bit disappointing tbh. I guess maybe the Yamaha is sort of done though. It's all a bit bleak for WSB really. Kawasaki are done with the ZX10 really, Suzuki are long gone, Yamaha are finishing the R1 and the Aprilia is a 1100. Realistically the only ones pushing forward are Honda, Ducati and BMW. Still not sure what the Honda WSB problem is it wins in endurance and BSB.
Toseland was saying that longer term it may turn what is WSS into WSB as the 1000s become a thing of the past. It is pretty insane at the moment though. 230hp road legal bikes. Even cars are insane at the moment. 1000hp isn't anything mad anymore if you tune cars. I saw a vid with a 2000hp GTR the other day.

Toprak's get out clause is if he wins the championship this year, but he can't afford to wait that long as all the GP rides will be taken by then.

Toprak is almost unbeatable now in the championship. I'd imagine he's got one hand on it.
