Thought 2025 deserved its own thread due to the level of batshitness of some of the rumours.
Most things seem to hinge on what Ducati will do with its factory bikes, which in turn seems to hinge on what Pramac will do, i.e. switch to Yamaha.
The Pramac -> Yamaha switch seems sort of logical given that both their riders are almost certain to leave at the end of 2024. They might as well take the Yamaha money and hope their involvement helps the bike get better. I guess there will be concerns about attracting good riders to the Yamaha, but anyone on a Honda would surely jump at the chance as Rins did.
There are already rumours that Marini won't even see out 2024. He wants out badly.
Freeing up factory Ducatis from Pramac seems to allow for Marc and Bez to stay in their current teams but with 25 spec bikes but I find it odd that both VR46 and Gresini would have one 25 bike and one 24 bike respectively. Wouldn't it make more sense to put both satelite 25 bikes in the same team and move the riders?

I read something on twitter saying Audi top brass love Marc as he's got the marketing game down unlike boring Pecco and Martin. Supposedly they want him in Red.

Aleix set to announce his retirement in a few minutes.
That frees up another seat then!

I think Martin is more "interesting", for example on a a chat show type of environment he would be better than Marc. Marc's marketing appeal is simply due to the titles he's won and records he's broken (and the fact that Rossi hated him). But hey ho, what do I know? Bagnaia is however as dull as dish water.

Marc seems very 'animated' this season post-race. He's almost turned into a Rossi type character. Pecco always looks like he just won the egg and spoon race or something. I suppose 4 years of shit results may have fired him up now he has a decent bike.

I suppose 4 years of shit results may have fired him up now he has a decent bike. I think that was the case today after his 3rd place finish. Another podium after starting way down the grid, he needs the latest spec Ducati whether it’s Factory or not. He definitely has his mojo back.

Is there talk of marini breaking contract?
What exactly have Honda learnt so far? Even with 2 Ducati riders and suzuki riders the bike seems no further forward and is a piece of shit. Surely Honda aren't just going to effectively sit the next 2 years out waiting for 2027?

No surprises there then. I wouldn't be surprised to see HRC without a title sponssor either, if Suzuki could never get one, imagine Honda next year...

I wonder if they new MotoGP owners will like sponsorless teams? Maybe the new F1 owners will help teams get some backing?

I was just hoping that maybe with this new Liberty deal we'd maybe see some proper sponsorship like a Pepsi Aprilia or a Nike Honda.

Most seem to accept that Ducati have chosen Martin for the red bike.
